Foley sound;

This is Liams microphone( a Samson co1u) .We used this to record my foley sound on our groups thriller piece, this foley sound mainly included heavy breathing. We used foley sound as it is a much cleaner crisper sound then the sound the microphone in the camera picks up, this also allows us to manipulate the sound more easier and have more freedom as to what we want to do with it. Foley sound is recording sounds like punches, breathing and footsteps in a clean crisp way, so that we have complete control over timing, how loud they are and the quality of them, meaning a better sound production overall. This is usually done on a foley stage with a foley artist while watching the screen. Yet since our group do not have the facility to do this we have recorded it separately then have edited in onto our soundtrack using Logic Pro 9.
