Our Thriller Narrative: Demise

After playing with many many ideas we as a group finally came up with an idea we all agreed on, our final idea. This idea is very realistic and stays true to the Thriller conventions. It is about a middle class family, who have two twin children, one of which has a psychological issues, and within the film, the psychological issues become too much for the family to handle and he becomes a burden.

This is because of the families class, psychological issues are seen as something for the lower class, and although at first they were assured he could be cured, he was not and when growing up, although the mother nurtured him the same, he was different and the father hated this, and at the age of 16 the boy was taken by his father to live in a care home for people with the same condition as him.

Although they promised to look after him and come to see him weekly, sending him letters, he was completely forgotten about and eradicated from the family tree. As he grows up alone, he becomes aware of his past by the records in the care home and becomes obsessed with his family and vengeance against his parents. The lonesome which has made him cold, hollow, and his ICD worsened - he has now realised was placed on him by his father, he has to pay. At the end of the movie he is found by his mother after he kills himself as he sees his father in himself.

We have called it Demise.
